How to use these papers

The scoring guidelines here are unusually explicit about what counts as justification, so read them even for questions you answered correctly. Seeing that a correct prediction with no particle-level reasoning earns partial credit is the fastest way to change how you write.

Work the long free-response questions in full rather than sampling parts. They are built as a sequence where each part depends on the last, and practising them piecemeal misses the skill of carrying a result forward.

Group the released questions by topic — equilibrium, acid-base, thermodynamics — and do them together. The same reasoning patterns recur, and meeting five at once makes the pattern visible in a way one per paper never does.
