Material

all / both都dōu (dōu): incluso, ya o un énfasis

Forma, significado y registro

Para "incluso", el elemento inesperado suele colocarse antes de all / both都dōu. Una forma común es situación + (degree marker)得de (de) + elemento + all / both都dōu + verbo.

Para "ya", usa all / both都dōu + un punto alcanzado + (completed / change)了le (le). (completed / change)了le cierra esa estructura de "ya" en esta lección. already已经yǐ jīng (yǐ jīng) puede reportar el mismo tiempo con menos énfasis. all / both都dōu añade énfasis.

Una frase de reproche como "es toda tu culpa" es un uso diferente de all / both都dōu.

Traduce el elemento que va antes de all / both都dōu, no solo el carácter.

she / her她tāurgent急jí(degree marker)得dename (of a person or thing)名字míng zìall / both都dōu写错xiě cuò(completed / change)了le。

all / both都dōu十一点shí yì diǎnforty四十sì shí(completed / change)了le,you你nǐhow / why怎么zěn mestill / also还háiat / in在zàito change改gǎi?

Dōu shí yī diǎn sì shí le, nǐ zěn me hái zài gǎi? Ya son las 11:40. ¿Por qué sigues editando? Aquí la hora tardía es el empujón. La pregunta lleva la impaciencia.

Contraste

we / us我们wǒ menall / both都dōuto / arrive到dào(completed / change)了le。

W men dōu dào le. Todos hemos llegado. all / both都dōu cubre al grupo. No significa "incluso" ni "ya".

soup汤tāngall / both都dōuto let sth cool down凉liáng(completed / change)了le。

Lee a qué aplica all / both都dōu antes de elegir "todo", "incluso" o "ya".

still / also还hái…(and …?

Forma, significado y registro

El patrón objetivo es still / also还hái (hái) + un rol o experiencia afirmada + (and …? (and …?

still / also还háicareful细心xì xīnto edit编辑biān jí(and …? / softener)呢ne,title标题biāo tí写错xiě cuò(completed / change)了le。

still / also还háiat / in在zàiUnited Kingdom 联合王国英国yīng guóto live住zhù(experienced)过guo一年yī nián(and …? / softener)呢ne,underground railway地铁dì tiědiagram图túunable to make sense of…看不懂kàn bù dǒng。

Este still / also还hái…(and …?

general总zǒng (zǒng) con can / will会huì, (degree marker)得de, want / will / need要yào o can / be able to能néng

Forma, significado y registro

Para "bound to" o "has to", coloca un auxiliar directamente después de general总zǒng (zǒng): can / will会huì (huì), (degree marker)得de (děi), want / will / need要yào (yào) o can / be able to能néng (néng). (degree marker)得de y want / will / need要yào indican que algo debe hacerse. can / be able to能néng indica que existe la capacidad necesaria.

No lo "arregles" agregando can / will会huì.

after all毕竟bì jìng: una razón para el juicio

Forma, significado y registro

Coloca after all毕竟bì jìng (bì jìng) dentro de la cláusula de razón, ya sea antes del predicado o al inicio de esa cláusula: she / her她tāafter all毕竟bì jìngto be / is是shìnewcomer新人xīn rén, o after all毕竟bì jìngshe / her她tāto be / is是shìnewcomer新人xīn rén. Mantén la razón y el juicio juntos. En esta lección, no cuelgues after all毕竟bì jìng después de una oración terminada sin lugar donde adjuntarlo.

after all毕竟bì jìng ofrece un hecho que el hablante quiere que sopeses.

anyway反正fǎn zhèngtonight今晚jīn wǎn不改bù gǎi(completed / change)了le,tomorrow明天míng tiānagain / then再zàito see看kàn。

I / me我wǒalmost差点chà diǎnnot / haven't没méito keep up with赶上gǎn shàngtrain火车huǒ chē,fortunately幸好xìng hǎofinal最后zuì hòuto keep up with赶上gǎn shàng(completed / change)了le。

Ejercicio 1

Patrón: all / both都dōu (todo/también), "ya", con un tiempo alcanzado y (completed / change)了le. Escribe la oración completa con all / both都dōu, 十一点shí yì diǎnforty四十sì shí y (completed / change)了le en ese orden, y sin otras palabras.

Respuesta: B.

La partícula (and …? / softener)呢ne (ne) sola no determina el tono.

Deja a un lado la votación terminada y nombra el siguiente paso. after all毕竟bì jìng (bìjìng) no es prueba de que realmente sea su primer día.

Cinco adverbios de curso dividen esas tareas. anyway反正fǎn zhèng (fǎnzhèng) marca un punto que permanece mientras otra cosa queda abierta. as much as possible尽量jǐn liàng (jǐnliàng) marca esfuerzo dentro de un límite real. each other互相hù xiāng (hùxiāng) marca una acción recíproca. despite尽管jǐn guǎn (jǐnguǎn) animador insta a alguien a proceder. candid干脆gān cuì (gāncuì) marca una salida directa ante una elección complicada. anyway反正fǎn zhèng

Forma, significado y registro

Tanto anyway反正fǎn zhèngI / me我wǒ九点jiǔ diǎnto / arrive到dào (fǎnzhèng wǒ jiǔ diǎn dào) como I / me我wǒanyway反正fǎn zhèng九点jiǔ diǎnto / arrive到dào (wǒ fǎnzhèng jiǔ diǎn dào) son correctas.

Ejemplos

each other互相hù xiāng

Forma, significado y registro

each other互相hù xiāng marca una acción recíproca: los participantes más each other互相hù xiāng más una frase verbal. I / me我wǒwith / and跟gēnAalen, town in Germany阿伦ā lún互相帮助hù xiāng bāng zhù (wǒ gēn Ālún hùxiāng bāngzhù) es correcto, porque with / and跟gēnAalen, town in Germany阿伦ā lún nombra a la otra persona.

Lin decided simply to go to the reading room to edit the slides. The elements 'Lin', 'reading room', and 'slides' remain, accompanied by the adverb 'gāncuì' without 'ba'. Option A uses 'huídá de hěn gāncuì' (answered very crisply) to describe manner of speaking. Option C uses 'fǎnzhèng' (anyway). Option D adds 'ba'; this report does not include it.

Last month I missed the last bus after a class dinner. On the way home, I told a friend that I was finished with that bus. She said that since I used to live next to the restaurant, I should know the timetable. Our monitor had already told us several times to book a taxi before dark. The hotpot photo in the group chat was hard even to look at. The next day, while I was already walking to the classroom, I collected leftover fruit for a classmate. Five patterns cover those five jobs: a shut door, a closed chapter, serious repetition, a gasp, and a convenient extra.

(not) any more再也zài yěnot不bù / (not) any more再也zài yěnot / haven't没méi

Form: Subject + zài yě + bù or méi + verb phrase. A final le often marks a changed decision or situation, but it is not required in every sentence. The past example below is complete without it. Context determines whether a final le adds a useful change-of-state meaning.

Meaning: From one point on, there is no other time. Bù (or bú before a fourth tone) faces the present or future: a refusal or a personal rule. Méi faces the past: after that moment, it did not happen again.

Register: Register refers to how formal a sentence sounds. These two are normal in speech and writing, and the feeling is strong.

Contrast: Zài bù shì is a calmer "not any more". Cóng méi yǒu means "not even once" throughout the entire past, so there is no "again".

After she moved to Chengdu, she never went back north for the winter again.

The first le shuts the door on future bookings. The second sentence is complete without a final le; guò marks the past experience.

once曾经céng jīng

Form: Subject + céngjīng + verb phrase. Guò can mark a past experience with many action verbs, as with the choir below. Guò is not required. Leave it out with shì, zài, and yǒu, and often with a past role or state. Formal negatives are céng bù and céng wèi. Do not say méi céngjīng. Everyday speech prefers méi……guò or cóng méi……guò.

Meaning: Céngjīng points to an earlier time or experience. It often introduces a contrast with the present, but it does not by itself prove that the situation can never happen again or is no longer true.

Register: Slightly written, and heavier than verb + guò alone. In a casual chat, yǐqián or guò is often enough.

Contrast: Yǐjīng means "already", and the result may still be true. Tā yǐjīng shì lǎoshī means he is a teacher now. Tā céngjīng shì lǎoshī points to his earlier role; further context tells us whether he still teaches.

over and over again再三zài sān

Form: Zàisān + verb phrase, usually a two-syllable verb of saying or thinking: tíxǐng, qiángdiào, kǎolǜ, qǐngqiú, gǎnxiè. Jīngguò zàisān + verb is also common. Le and guò are uncommon because the adverb already means "many times", but they are not banned. Wǒmen zàisān tǎolùn guò is natural when that completed discussion matters. A single action verb such as chī or pǎo rarely takes zàisān.

Meaning: Someone repeats the action on purpose.

Register: Formal. Fǎnfù also describes repeated action. Yīzài can likewise be used for repeated requests or warnings, and can sound formal too. Lǎoshì often describes a repeated habit you dislike.

Contraste: again / then再zài alone es "otra vez". over and over again再三zài sān es "una y otra vez". always老是lǎo shì se queja; over and over again再三zài sān pondera una repetición seria.

1. A. (bound form) woods林lín(not) any more再也zài yěnot不bùto sit坐zuònighttime夜间yè jiān(coll.) large bus大巴dà bā(completed / change)了le。 Lín zài yě bú zuò yèjiān dàbā le. La negativa comienza desde ahora, por lo que not不bù corresponde, y to sit坐zuò (zuò) hace que not不bù suene bú.

2. a. not不bù. that那nàhome家jiā面馆miàn guǎnto serve food上菜shàng cài太慢tài màn,I / me我wǒ(not) any more再也zài yě不去bù qù(completed / change)了le。 Nà jiā miànguǎn shàngcài tài màn, wǒ zài yě bú qù le. Esta es una regla para visitas futuras. to go去qù es cuarto tono, así que se escribe bú, no bù.

b. not / haven't没méi. 大学毕业dà xué bì yèafter以后yǐ hòu,I / me我wǒ(not) any more再也zài yěnot / haven't没méi回过huí guò那座nà zuòshore海滨hǎi bīncity城市chéng shì。

C usa over and over again再三zài sān, que no puede significar "anteriormente".

Una coma después de reader读者dú zhě sería la misma respuesta. over and over again再三zài sān va directamente antes de to remind提醒tí xǐng, el verbo de dos sílabas que significa decir/recordar.

(used after a verb) give it…一下yī xià es yí xià. C, con over and over again再三zài sān, significaría que ella va una y otra vez.

La partícula not / haven't没méi (no), no not不bù, es obligatoria porque esto es un hecho pasado.

Jīnglǐ zàisān yāoqiú dàjiā zhōuwǔ qián kàn ānquán shuōmíng. to request要求yāo qiú (yāoqiú) es un verbo formal de dos sílabas, por lo que over and over again再三zài sān se adapta bien a una solicitud seria y repetida.

Sin (experienced)过guo, I / me我wǒonce曾经céng jīngto live住zhùat / in在zàiDalian subprovincial city…

Aquí still / also还hái se lee huán, "devolver", no hái. Comprar comida en el mismo viaje principal está bien, por ejemplo: I / me我wǒto go去qùsupermarket (abbr. for 超级市场)超市chāo shì买菜mǎi cài,conveniently顺便shùn biànto help帮bāngroommate室友shì yǒureturn books还书huán shū (Wǒ qù chāoshì mǎi cài, shùnbiàn bāng shìyǒu huán shū).

again / then再zàinot不bù……then / just就jiù……((completed / change)了le)

Gancho. Queda poco tiempo.

Forma. (Sujeto +) again / then再zàinot不bù + qué hacer + then / just就jiù + resultado + ((completed / change)了le).

Significado. Hazlo ahora, o vendrá el resultado. Todo el patrón again / then再zàinot不bù…then / just就jiù… advierte sobre el tiempo restante para actuar; no describe hacer una acción nuevamente. No tienes que decir now现在xiàn zài (ahora).

Registro. Advertencias habladas a familiares, amigos o colegas.

  1. you你nǐagain / then再zàinot不bùto set off出发chū fā,then / just就jiùcan't keep up with赶不上gǎn bù shànglast bus or train末班车mò bān chē(completed / change)了le。 Nǐ zài bù chūfā, jiù gǎn bu shàng mòbānchē le. Si no sales ahora, perderás el último autobús.

good好hǎo(not不bù)easy容易róng yì……only then / not until才cái……

Hook. Fue difícil, y al final funcionó.

Forma. Sujeto + (idiomatic usage) with…好容易hǎo róng yì o with great difficulty好不容易hǎo bù róng yì + only then / not until才cái + resultado. En una narración puedes omitir el sujeto. only then / not until才cái se sitúa justo antes del resultado.

Significado. (idiomatic usage) with…好容易hǎo róng yì y with great difficulty好不容易hǎo bù róng yì comparten un significado: con gran dificultad. La partícula not不bù no añade negación. Se dice más a menudo with great difficulty好不容易hǎo bù róng yì. only then / not until才cái indica que el éxito tardó en llegar. Sin only then / not until才cái, (idiomatic usage) with…

Registro. Narración coloquial. La siguiente oración suele presentar un giro.

white白bái + verbo

Hook. El esfuerzo no dio resultado.

Forma. white白bái + verbo (+ (completed / change)了le) (+ objeto). El verbo suele ser monosílabeo, como to wait for等děng, to run跑pǎo, to see看kàn, flower花huā o to ask请qǐng.

Significado. En otro contexto, white白bái significa "gratis": to eat without paying白吃bái chī y to live (somewhere) for free白住bái zhù implican que no pagas.

Registro. Quejas cotidianas y chistes ligeros.

verb动词dòng cí + (completed / change)了le + again又yòu + verb动词dòng cí

Hook. La misma acción se repite continuamente.

Fórmula común. Verbo monosílabeo + (completed / change)了le + again又yòu + el mismo verbo. or / still还是hái shì o exactly就是jiù shì suelen seguir, indicando un resultado invariable.

Registro. Narraciones, en el habla o escritura informal.
