Three hard years later…
- Some results only come after a long process.
- "After three years of study…", "through hard work…".
- Chinese sets up that process with to pass经过.
to pass经过 + Event / Time, …
- to pass经过 + (a process)，Subj + Result — the result follows the process.
after经过three三year年的effort努力，he他succeed成功了。
- to pass经过三年(of / 's)的to make an effort努力，he / him他success成功(completed / change)了 = "after three years of effort, he succeeded."
