    一 + 量词 + 也 / 都 + 不 / 没 … — "한 개도 ~하지 않다"

To say not a single one, build a total, emphatic negative: one / a一yī + measure word (+ noun) + also也yě / all / both都dōu + not不bù / not / haven't没méi + verb. The also也yě / all / both都dōu is the muscle here — it's what turns "one" into "not even one." The object can also be pulled to the front as a topic. 한 개도 ~하지 않다라고 하려면 완전하고 강조된 부정문장을 만든다: one / a一yī + 수량어 (+ 명사) + also也yě / all / both都dōu + not不bù / not / haven't没méi + 동사. 여기서 also也yě / all / both都dōu가 핵심이다—"하나"를 "아예 ~도 ~하지 않다"로 만드는 힘이다. 목적어도 주제어로 앞쪽으로 당길 수 있다.

    Structure: (Topic +) 一 + MW + (Noun) + 也 / 都 + 不 / 没 + Verb

    he他tāa single一句yí jùword话huàeven都dōudidn't没méisay说shuō。

He didn't say a single word. → 그는 한 마디도 하지 않았다.

this person这个人zhè ge rénI我wǒeven once一次yí cìeven也yěhaven't没méimet见过jiàn guo。

I've never met this person, not even once. → 이 사람은 한 번도 본 적이 없다.

Remember: the shape is "one … not even …" — one / a一yī sets up the smallest possible amount, and also也yě / all / both都dōu + negative knocks even that out. Drop the also也yě / all / both都dōu and the "not even" force collapses. 기억할 것: 형태는 "하나 … 아예 ~도 ~하지 않다"— one / a一yī이 가능한 최소량을 설정하고, also也yě / all / both都dōu + 부정이 그조차도 무력화시킨다. also也yě / all / both都dōu를 빼면 "아예 ~도"의 강조 힘이 사라진다.

    Watch out

    • also也yě and all / both都dōu are interchangeable here; for an uncountable "not at all," use a bit一点yì diǎnalso也yěnot不bù. 여기서 also也yě와 all / both都dōu는 교체 가능하다. 세지 않는 양의 "아예 ~도 ~하지 않다"라면 a bit一点yì diǎnalso也yěnot不bù을 사용하라.

    越 … 越 … — "~할수록 ~하다"

to exceed越yuè A to exceed越yuè B ties two things that rise together — "the more A, the more B." Picture two dials geared to the same shaft: turn one up and the other climbs with it. Both halves take to exceed越yuè, and the two clauses can even have different subjects. to exceed越yuè A to exceed越yuè B는 서로 함께 상승하는 두 것을 연결한다—"A가 많을수록 B도 많다". 두 바늘이 같은 축에 연동된 계측기를to imagine想象xiǎng xiàng(modifier / structural particle)的de해 보라:among其中qí zhōng一个yí gè을 돌리면 다른 하나도 함께 올라간다. 두 절 모두 to exceed越yuè을 쓰고, 두 절이 서로 다른 주어를 가질 수도 있다.

    Structure: Subject + 越 + Verb + 越 + Adjective / Verb

    I我wǒthe more越yuèlook看kànthe more越yuèlike it喜欢xǐ huan。

The more I look at it, the more I like it. → 볼수록 더 좋다. (또는: 볼수록 더 좋아진다.)

you你nǐthe more越yuèpush让ràngthe kid孩子hái zito study学xuéthe kid,孩子hái zithe less越yuèwants to不想bù xiǎngstudy学xué。

The more you push the kid to study, the less he wants to. → 아이에게 공부를 더 강요할수록, 아이는 더 하고 싶어하지 않는다.

Remember: two to exceed越yuè's, rising together. Don't confuse it with more and more越来越yuè lái yuè ("more and more over time," next file): to exceed越yuè…to exceed越yuè… links two things, more and more越来越yuè lái yuè tracks one thing across time. 기억할 것: 두 개의 to exceed越yuè이 함께 상승한다. more and more越来越yuè lái yuè("시간이 지날수록 점점 더")와 혼동하지 마라: to exceed越yuè…to exceed越yuè…는 두 가지 것을 연결하고, more and more越来越yuè lái yuè는 하나의 것이 시간에 따라 변함을 추적한다.

    Watch out

    • Both halves need to exceed越yuè; the second names what grows as the first does. 두 절 모두 to exceed越yuè이 필요하며, 두 번째 절은 첫 번째 절이 증가함에 따라 무엇이 커지는지 명시한다.
    • The two halves can have different subjects: you你nǐto exceed越yuèvariant of 说说shuō,he / him他tāto exceed越yuènot不bùto listen to听tīng. 두 절이 서로 다른 주어를 가질 수 있다: you你nǐto exceed越yuèvariant of 说说shuō,he / him他tāto exceed越yuènot不bùto listen to听tīng.

    把 — "把它拿去..." (把 構文)

중국어 문법의 유명한 장벽이지만 핵심 개념은 간단합니다. (把: marks the object)把bǎ는 글자 그대로 **"들다 / 잡다"**를 의미하므로 (把: marks the object)把bǎ 문장은 단순히 "[이 특정 사물]을 [무엇인가를]it它tāto / towards / correct对duìit它tāto make做zuò."입니다. 객체에 무슨 일이 일어나는지 강조하고 싶을 때 사용하십시오—그것이 어디로 가는지, 어떻게 변했는지, 무엇을 했는지.

The trap for English speakers: the object jumps in front of the verb, and the verb can never stand alone — it must be followed by the result (a complement, (completed / change)了le, a location…). "(把: marks the object)把bǎ书放shū fàng" lands on a Chinese ear like "put the book…" and then trailing off. 영어 화자의 함정: 목적어가 동사 앞으로 이동하고, 동사는 절대 단독으로 서 있을 수 없다—결과(보어, (completed / change)了le, 위치 등)가 이어져야 한다. "(把: marks the object)把bǎ书放shū fàng"는 중국인의 귀에 "put the book…"라고 듣고 나면 계속되지 않는 듯한 느낌을 준다.

    Structure: Subject + 把 + Object + Verb + (result) Literally: "I — take — the book — put — on the table." (I / me我wǒ(把: marks the object)把bǎbook书shū放在fàng zàitable桌子zhuō zi(bound form) up上shàng。) → 문자 그대로: "나 — 잡다 — 책 — 올리다 —machine机子jī zi(bound form) up上shàng." (I / me我wǒ(把: marks the object)把bǎbook书shū放在fàng zàitable桌子zhuō zi(bound form) up上shàng。)

    please请qǐng把bǎthe door门ménclose关上guān shàng。

Please close the door. → 문을 닫아 주세요. Remember: (把: marks the object)把bǎ carries the hand radical "hand" radical in Chinese…扌shou — picture a hand reaching out, grabbing the object, and dragging it in front of the verb. Grab it → then say what you did to it. 기억할 것: (把: marks the object)把bǎ는 손 편편 "hand" radical in Chinese…扌shou을 포함한다—손이 뻗어나와 목적체를 잡고 동사 앞으로 끌어온 모습을 상상해 보라. 잡다 → 그러면it它tāto / towards / correct对duìit它tāto make做zuò(completed / change)了lewhat什么shén meto come来láito explain说明shuō míng。

    • ((把: marks the object)把bǎ 또한 손잡이가 있는 물건의 양사로도 쓰입니다 — 一把yī bǎdamask silk伞sǎn "우산 한 개" — 완전히 다른 단어입니다.)

被 — "got done to" (수동태)

    my我wǒ的dephone手机shǒu jīgot被bèistolen偷tōu了le。

    내 휴대폰이 도둑맞았다.

    그는 경찰에 체포당했다.

    ** 기억하세요: (把: marks the object)把bǎ는 행위자를 앞세우고, (passive: by)被bèi는 피해자를 앞세운다. thief小偷xiǎo tōu(把: marks the object)把bǎcell phone手机shǒu jīto steal偷tōu(completed / change)了le ("도둑이 휴대폰을 훔쳤다") ↔ cell phone手机shǒu jī(passive: by)被bèismall小xiǎostealthily偷偷tōu tōu(completed / change)了le ("휴대폰이 도둑에게 훔겨졌다").
