Reported speech (การบอกต่อ)

การบอกสิ่งที่ผู้อื่นพูด

• Reported speech บอกสิ่งที่ใครสักคนพูด — โดยไม่มีเครื่องหมายคำพูด
• Direct: "I am tired," he said.
• Reported: He said he was tired.

He said he was early. The clock reported a different story.

say และ tell

• say (that) … — ไม่มีผู้ฟัง: She said she was busy.
• tell someone (that) … — มีผู้ฟัง: She told me she was busy.
• that สามารถตัดออกได้

การเลื่อน tense ลง (backshift)

• เมื่อกริยาบอกเล่าเป็น过去时 (said, told) จะเลื่อน tense ลงหนึ่งขั้น
• am / is → was; are → were; will → would; can → could.
• present perfect / past simple → past perfect

คำสรรพนามและคำบอกเวลาเปลี่ยน

• I → he / she, you → me, my → his / her.
• now → then, today → that day, tomorrow → the next day.

ข้อผิดพลาดทั่วไป

• ❌ He said me that he was busy. → ✓ He told me… / He said… — tell ต้องตามด้วยบุคคล, say ไม่ทำอย่างนั้น
• ❌ She asked me where did I live. → ✓ …where I lived. — เรียงประโยคแบบ statement, ไม่ต้องใช้ did
• ❌ He said he will come tomorrow. → ✓ …he would come the next day.
