The future — will and be going to
Introducedพูดถึงอนาคต

- ภาษาอังกฤษมีหลายวิธีในการพูดถึงอนาคต
- วิธีหลักสองอย่างในระดับ A2 คือ will และ be going to
- ทั้งสองใช้แทนกันได้บ้าง แต่ละรูปแบบมีหน้าที่ที่ชอบที่สุด
I am going to study tonight; my phone has other plans.
will — ตัดสินใจทันที, คาดเดา, สัญญา
- will + Verb ต้นแบบ (ใช้ได้กับทุกคน; won't = will not)
- การตัดสินใจทันที: The phone's ringing — I'll get it.
- การคาดการณ์หรือสัญญา: It will rain tomorrow. I won't be late.
be going to — แผนและการสังเกต
- am / is / are + going to + Verb ต้นแบบ
- แผนที่มีอยู่แล้ว: We're going to visit grandma.
- การคาดการณ์จากสิ่งที่เห็น: Look at the clouds — it's going to rain.
The phone is ringing. Which is best? — “___ get it.”
A decision made right now → use will: “I'll get it.”
Complete the plan: We are ___ to visit grandma. (going / go)
Plans use be going to: “We are going to visit grandma.”
Translate into English: 明天会下雨。
A prediction → will or going to: “It will rain tomorrow.”
will หรือ going to?
- ตัดสินใจเมื่อสักครู่ → will: I'll help you.
- 预先计划 → going to: 我今晚打算学习。
- ทั้งคู่สามารถคาดการณ์ได้; going to ยึดตามหลักฐานในปัจจุบัน
will หรือ going to?
'will'用于现在做出的决定或预测; 'going to'用于已经计划好的事情
Is this correct? “I will to call you tonight.”
After will, use the base verb (no “to”): “I will call you tonight.”
ข้อผิดพลาดทั่วไป
- ❌ I go to Shanghai tomorrow. → ✓ I am going to Shanghai tomorrow. — ภาษาอังกฤษต้องระบุอนาคต
- ❌ We will going to visit grandma. → ✓ We are going to visit… / We will visit… — เลือกใช้เพียงอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง
- ❌ She will comes. → ✓ She will come. — หลัง will ใช้ Verb ต้นแบบ
You decide at this moment to help: “I ___ carry your bag.”
A decision made right now → will.
“The train leaves at 9 tomorrow.” — can the present simple talk about a timetable?
Yes — timetables (trains, flights, lessons) use the present simple, even for the future.
- will + Verb ต้นแบบ = การตัดสินใจ, การคาดการณ์, สัญญา
- be going to + Verb ต้นแบบ = แผนและการคาดการณ์โดยอิงจากหลักฐาน
- 自发性 → will;预先计划 → going to。
Write one sentence about a plan you have for this weekend. Use “be going to”.
Example: “I am going to visit my cousin on Saturday.”
