之所以 … 是因为 … (effect before cause)

Result first, reason after

• (after a noun N and before…之所以zhī suǒ yǐ + Effect，是因为shì yīn wèi + Cause = "the reason (effect) is that (cause)".
• he / him他tā(after a noun N and before…之所以zhī suǒ yǐsuccess成功chéng gōng，是因为shì yīn wèito make an effort努力nǔ lì = "the reason he succeeded is that he worked hard."
• It flips the usual cause → effect order, putting the result first.

(after a noun N and before…之所以zhī suǒ yǐ + Effect，是因为shì yīn wèi + Cause

• (after a noun N and before…之所以zhī suǒ yǐ … 是因为shì yīn wèi … states the outcome, then explains it.

he他tāthe reason ... is之所以zhī suǒ yǐsucceed成功chéng gōng，is because是因为shì yīn wèihard work努力nǔ lì。

• (after a noun N and before…之所以zhī suǒ yǐsuccess成功chéng gōng，是因为shì yīn wèito make an effort努力nǔ lì = "the reason (he) succeeded is hard work."
