Verb + 了 + Complement (le after the verb)

(completed / change)了le right after the verb

• Before a complement or quantity, (completed / change)了le sits straight after the verb: Verb + (completed / change)了le + ….
• I / me我wǒto see看kàn(completed / change)了le两个liǎng gèhour小时xiǎo shí = "I read for two hours."
• This (completed / change)了le marks the action as completed, then states how much.

Verb + (completed / change)了le + Complement / Quantity

• Verb-(completed / change)了le completes the action; the amount follows.

I我wǒread看kàn了letwo两liǎng(measure word)个gehours小时xiǎo shí。

• to see看kàn(completed / change)了le两个liǎng gèhour小时xiǎo shí = "read for two hours."
