只要 … ，就 … (as long as)

One condition buys the whole result

• One condition is enough to guarantee the result.
• if only只要zhǐ yào … then / just就jiù … = "as long as …, then …".
• if only只要zhǐ yàoto make an effort努力nǔ lì，then / just就jiùcan / be able to能néngsuccess成功chéng gōng = "as long as you work hard, you can succeed."

if only只要zhǐ yào … ，then / just就jiù …

• if only只要zhǐ yào sets a sufficient condition; then / just就jiù delivers the result.

as long as只要zhǐ yàowork hard努力nǔ lì，then就jiùcan能néngsucceed成功chéng gōng。

• if only只要zhǐ yàoto make an effort努力nǔ lì，then / just就jiùcan / be able to能néngsuccess成功chéng gōng = "as long as you try, you can succeed."

if only只要zhǐ yào = enough on its own

• The condition is sufficient — one is all you need.
