比 … Adj + 多了 (much more than)
Taller — by a lot
- he / him他than / compared to比I / me我high高 = taller. But how much taller?
- Tack many多(completed / change)了 on the end: he / him他than / compared to比I / me我high高many多(completed / change)了 = "much taller".
- It puts a big gap between the two.
N1 + than / compared to比 + N2 + Adj + many多(completed / change)了
- many多(completed / change)了 after the adjective = "by a lot".
he他than比me我tall高much more多了。
- he / him他than / compared to比I / me我high高many多(completed / change)了 = "he's much taller than me."
