English

A challenge is different from choosing a film

  • Someone is staring angrily; the other person snaps to see看kànwhat for什么shén meto see看kàn! — What are you staring at?! The repeated phrase challenges the staring.
  • A friend at the cinema asks you你nǐwant / think / miss想xiǎngto see看kànwhat for什么shén me? — What would you like to watch? That question asks for a viewing choice.
