Finished or not?

• Your mum asks about your homework before you go out to play.
• school assignment作业zuò yèI我wǒmake做zuòto finish完wán(completed / change)了le！ — "I've finished my homework!" to finish完wán tells the result of the action: it is finished.

Verb + result complement

• Verb + ready好hǎo / to finish完wán / wrongly错cuò tells how the action ended: make做zuòready好hǎo (done properly), eat吃chīto finish完wán (eaten up), write写xiěwrongly错cuò (written wrongly).
• (completed / change)了le normally follows the result: I我wǒwrite写xiěto finish完wán(completed / change)了le, he / him他tāto see看kànwrongly错cuò(completed / change)了le.

Ready, finished, wrong

• ready好hǎo = done and ready: dinner饭fànmake做zuòready好hǎo(completed / change)了le，quickly快kuàicome来láieat吃chī(suggestion)吧ba！ — "Dinner's ready, come and eat!"
• to finish完wán = finished, nothing left: this这zhè本书běn shūI我wǒto see看kànto finish完wán(completed / change)了le. wrongly错cuò = wrong: I'm sorry对不起duì bù qǐ，I我wǒto err打错dǎ cuòtelephone电话diàn huà(completed / change)了le。

Negate with not / haven't没méi, keep the pair together

• make做zuòto finish完wán = finished, the job is over (maybe not well done).
