This frame covers 别说 …… ，就是 / 连 …… 也 / 都 ……. The characters 别说 look like "don't say", but here they mean "forget" or "never mind". 别说 A，就是 / 连 B 也 / 都 … sets a bigger or harder case aside, then says that even a smaller or easier case fails. A is pushed out of the way. B is what really fails, and that failure shows that A is impossible too. The order runs from big to small., See the handout for full form and boundary.
This frame covers 连 …… 都 / 也 …… ，更不用说 …… 了. 连 A 都 / 也 …，更不用说 B 了 starts from the smaller case and moves to the greater one. Even A fails, is missing, or is already too much. B lies further on the same scale, so B is even less worth mentioning. English says "even A, let alone B" or "much less B".
