“A stone’s throw” is not a measurement

  • A fictional review of a shared workshop says it is “a stone's throw from the station.” A literal translation may suggest somebody is throwing rocks. Context tells you that this phrase describes a short distance, without giving an exact number of metres.
  • This GAC008-aligned lesson combines vocabulary inference with complex sentences. Your goal is to explain how location, facilities and conditions relate, rather than joining every idea with “and.” The review is invented language practice, not property advice.

“a stone’s throw”不是测量单位

  • 一篇虚构的共享工作坊评论称其“离车站仅一步之遥”。字面翻译可能让人联想到有人扔石头。语境表明,该短语描述的是短距离,并未给出确切的米数。
  • 本GAC008对齐课程结合词汇推断与复合句。目标是解释位置、设施与条件之间的关系,而非用“and”连接每个想法。该审查是虚构的语言练习,非房产建议。
