Given the storm warning
- The city government announces closures as a typhoon approaches.
- in view of鉴于typhoon台风on the eve of即将to arrive到来，whole city全市school学校tomorrow明天to stop classes停课。 — "In view of the approaching typhoon, all schools in the city will close tomorrow."
in view of鉴于 + situation，decision
- in view of鉴于 = "in view of, given, considering": it states the situation behind a decision.
- It opens the sentence; the second clause states what will be done.
in view of鉴于the weather天气reasons原因，the match比赛is postponed推迟。
Official decisions
- in view of鉴于he / him他(modifier / structural particle)的to show表现，company公司to decide (to do something)决定to / for / give给he / him他to get promoted (at work…升职。 — "In view of his performance, the company decided to promote him."
- Common in notices, reports and formal letters.
in view of鉴于his他的performance表现，the company公司decided决定to给him他promote升职。
Formal and forward-looking
- in view of鉴于 introduces the basis for a decision or measure; it is not for casual causes (use because因为).
- A in view of鉴于 phrase often comes first to state the basis. Its position can vary; check that the main decision remains a complete clause.
in view of鉴于 versus due to由于 and because因为
- due to由于 / because因为 explain why something happened: due to由于to rain下雨，competition (sports etc)比赛to cancel取消(completed / change)了.
- in view of鉴于 explains why a decision is being made: in view of鉴于weather天气，we / us我们to decide (to do something)决定to postpone推迟.
due to由于rain下雨，the match比赛was cancelled取消了。
