Building to a climax

甚至连 B 也 + verb.
Keep the order
- even甚至 comes before even连, and also也 / all / both都 after B: even甚至even连he他also也…, not even连even甚至he他also也….
- B should be stronger than A; a weaker B makes the sentence fall flat.
Which order is correct?

The order is 甚至 + 连 + B + 也/都: 甚至连老师也不知道 “Even the teacher didn't know.” 甚至 comes first and 连 directly before the surprising item.
Versus not only不但…but also而且…
- not only不但…but also而且… adds a second point of similar weight.
- not only不但…even甚至even连…also也… adds a surprising, extreme case.
not only不但cheap便宜，but also而且tasty好吃。
The B item in this pattern should be the most surprising one.

True. B is the climax, the least expected case: if even the teacher didn't know, nobody would.
