A good buy
- You found a jacket that looks great and costs very little, and you want to say both at once.
- 这件clothes衣服both又cheap便宜both又good-looking好看。 — "This jacket is both cheap and good-looking."
both又 + A + both又 + B
- Subject + both又 + Adj/Verb + both又 + Adj/Verb: each both又 sits directly before its own description.
- The two qualities point the same way, both good or both bad: both又rapid快both又good好, both又tired累both又hungry饿.
I我both又tired累and又hungry饿。
Complete: “The noodles here are both tasty and cheap.” 这儿的面条____好吃____便宜。 (write the word that fills both blanks)

Actions as well as qualities
- Verb phrases fit too: child孩子(plural)们both又sing唱both又dance跳。 — "The children sang and danced."
- Use it to describe a person or place with two clear features: she / her她(modifier / structural particle)的room房间both又see 大夫大both又clean干净。

Build: “Her room is both big and clean.”

Keep the two halves matched
- Use two qualities with the same direction: both又cheap便宜both又good-looking好看 is natural; both又cheap便宜both又ugly难看 sounds odd unless you are joking.
- No very很 inside the pattern: both又high高both又see 大夫大, not both又very很high高both又very很see 大夫大.
Which sentence is natural?

又 + Adj + 又 + Adj with no 很. 和 does not join two adjectives in the predicate.
both又…both又… versus also也 and and / with和
- and / with和 cannot join two adjectives in a predicate: say both又cheap便宜both又good-looking好看, not cheap便宜and / with和good-looking好看.
- both又…both又… stresses that both features are present at the same time; very很cheap便宜，also也very很good-looking好看 lists them one after another.
here这儿的food菜very很cheap便宜，also也very很tasty好吃。
这件衣服便宜和好看 is a correct way to say “This item of clothing is cheap and good-looking.”

和 joins nouns, not two adjectives used as the predicate. Use 又便宜又好看.
