Artigos (avançado)

  • 11 Artigos (avançado)
    11.1

    Indefinido vs Definido

    Artigos: a/an · the · zero article
    Escolha o artigo: a/an · the · zero artigo

Ao chegar ao nível B2, a dificuldade dos artigos reside em distinguir genérico e específico:

    • Indefinido (classe inteira): substantivos plurais / incontáveis, sem the.
    • Definido (aqueles específicos): com the.

    老虎Tigers 是are 危险dangerous.

Tigres são perigosos. (Indefinido, todos os tigres, sem the)

(特指)The 老虎tigers 在at (冠词)the 动物园zoo 是are 困倦sleepy.

Os tigres naquele zoológico estão sonolentos. (Definido, com the)

Atenção Substantivos abstratos indefinidos também não levam the: Love is important. (Amor é importante.) Mas the love of a mother (amor materno) definido leva the.

    11.2

    Colocações fixas

Em muitas colocações, o uso do artigo é fixo e deve ser memorizado como um todo:

    • Sem artigo: go to bed / school / work, by car / bus, at home, have breakfast.
    • Com the: in the morning, play the piano, the same, listen to the radio.

我I 去go (介词)to 上班work 乘by 公交bus.

Vou trabalhar de ônibus. (go to work e by bus não levam artigo)

Atenção: Essas combinações não seguem uma lógica clara, memorize-as como frases fixas para obter melhores resultados.

    Erros Comuns

    • ❌ ~~the China / the Japan~~ → ✓ China / Japan; mas ✓ the US, the UK, the Netherlands, the Philippines — países com plural ou formato "organização" levam the.
    • ❌ ~~Most of people agree.~~ → ✓ Most people agree. / Most of the people in this room agree. — most vai direto ao substantivo; most of exige the / my / these etc. depois.
    • Diferença (britânico): be in hospital (internado, como paciente) vs go to the hospital (ir ao prédio do hospital, ex: visitar). in prison / at school segue o mesmo padrão.
    • the + adjetivo refere a uma classe de pessoas: The rich should help the poor. (Ricos devem ajudar pobres.)
