• Verb / Adj + whether or not (at the end…与否yǔ fǒu = "whether or not …" — whether (or not)是否shì fǒu's mirror, placed after.
• success成功chéng gōngwhether or not (at the end…与否yǔ fǒu，to hinge on取决于qǔ jué yúto make an effort努力nǔ lì = "whether (it) succeeds or not depends on effort."
• whether or not (at the end…与否yǔ fǒu turns the preceding word into "…-or-not".
