• or / still还是hái shì (here, not "or") gently recommends the best option: "had better".
• or / still还是hái shìbreakfast早点zǎo diǎnto go去qù(suggestion)吧ba = "(you'd) better go a bit early."
• It softly settles on a choice, often closing with (suggestion)吧ba.

or / still还是hái shì + Verb (+ (suggestion)吧ba)

• or / still还是hái shì suggests the preferred course after weighing options.

we我们wǒ menhad better还是hái shìgo走zǒu吧ba。

• we / us我们wǒ menor / still还是hái shìto walk走zǒu(suggestion)吧ba = "we'd better get going."

A soft recommendation

• It signals "on reflection, this is the better idea".
