Dangzhong places someone or something inside a group, a place or a process. The meanings are among, in the centre, and in the middle of an activity. It is normal in speech and in writing, and by itself it does not praise or blame.
Bici means each other or both sides, the slightly formal partner of huzhu. Both orders work: bici xinren and xinren bici. Bici can be an object, as in guanxin bici or ai bici. Huzhu normally comes before the verb and cannot replace bici as the object. The reply bici bici means likewise or same to you. Everyday chat often prefers huzhu.
Yilai runs from a starting time or event to the reference time, often now. Speech often starts with the time or event plus yilai. Writing can wrap the same frame as zi yilai or zicong yilai. Two phrases to learn as wholes: changqi yilai, for a long time now, and youshi yilai, since history began.
Dang plus something plus de shihou means when or at the moment that. Dang opens and de shihou closes. Writing may shorten the closer to shi. Dang is optional; without it, de shihou is everyday Chinese and keeps the same time meaning. With dang, the line sounds a little more like a story or more formal.
This frame puts a label on something with an implied judgment. The leibie word names the type and zhege points at the specific case, giving a this-kind-of feeling that carries the speaker''s attitude. The attitude can be admiration, impatience or dismissal; context decides.
Pause and check both. First, yes, both bici xinren and xinren bici work. Second, youshi yilai means since history began, while changqi yilai means for a long time now. The handout''s answers walk through all the practice items.
The handout answers section walks through all the practice items. Every answer traces to the frame''s own job: dangzhong places inside a group, bici goes both ways formally, yilai runs from a start to now, dang de shihou pins a moment with optional formality, and the zhege leibie frame labels with attitude. Each frame''s register tells you where it belongs.
