只要 … 就 … — "~만 하면"

**if only只要zhǐ yào … then / just就jiù …**은 충분 조건을 제시합니다 — "A라면 B가 된다." A만으로도 B를 보장하기에 충분합니다 (다른 경로는 없더라도).

Structure: 只要 + Condition ，就 + Result

as long as只要zhǐ yàoyou你nǐhard努力nǔ lìstudy学习xué xíthen，就jiùwill会huìmake有yǒuprogress进步jìn bù。

공부만 열심히 하면,certainly必bìず 진전이 있을 거야.

whenever只要zhǐ yàoit rains下雨xià yǔshe，她tāthen就jiùmood心情xīn qíngbad不好bù hǎo。

비가 오면 항상 기분이 나빠져요.

기억하세요: 짝을 고정하세요: if only只要zhǐ yào…then / just就jiù… = "충분 → 그러면" (충분 조건); only have ...只有zhǐ yǒu…only then / not until才cái… = "단 한 방법 → 그러면" (필수 조건). if only只要zhǐ yào은 then / just就jiù로, only have ...只有zhǐ yǒu은 only then / not until才cái로 연결됩니다.

Watch out

then / just就jiù를 only then / not until才cái로 바꾸면 "as long as"가 "only if"로 조용히 변합니다 — 연동어를 주의하세요.

除非 … 才 … / 否则 … — "除非"

only if (..., or otherwise…除非chú fēi는 "unless"를 의미합니다. 두 가지 일반적인 패턴: Result，only if (..., or otherwise…除非chú fēi + Condition ("Y하지 않으면 X하지 않는다") 및 only if (..., or otherwise…除非chú fēi X，only then / not until才cái Y ("X인 경우에만 Y한다"). otherwise否则fǒu zé / otherwise要不然yào bù rán ("그렇지 않으면")와 자주 함께 쓰입니다. 모든 무게는 필요한 하나의 조건에 집중됩니다.

구조: Result ，除非 + Condition · 除非 + Condition ，才 + Result

I我wǒwon't不bùgo去qùunless，除非chú fēiyou你nǐtoo也yěgo去qù。

너도 갈 거라면 내가 갈게.

only if除非chú fēithe boss老板lǎo bǎngives给gěime我wǒa raise加薪jiā xīnI，我wǒthen才cáiwill会huìstay留下来liú xià lái。

사장님이to / for / give给gěiI / me我wǒ salary raise를 주지 않는 이상 나는 머물지 않겠다.

기억하세요: only if (..., or otherwise…除非chú fēi = "상황을 바꾸는 유일한 예외". only if (..., or otherwise…除非chú fēi…only then / not until才cái… = "…인 경우에만 ~then"; only if (..., or otherwise…除非chú fēi…otherwise否则fǒu zé… = "…이 아니면, 그렇지 않으면 ~”. only have ...只有zhǐ yǒu…only then / not until才cái…의 가까운 친척으로, 둘 다 필요한 단일 조건을 강조합니다.

Watch out

only if (..., or otherwise…除非chú fēi…only then / not until才cái 와 only if (..., or otherwise…除非chú fēi…otherwise否则fǒu zé 는 반대 방향을 가리킵니다 — only then / not until才cái는 좋은 결과로, otherwise否则fǒu zé는 나쁜 대안으로 이어집니다.
