Rain or shine
- Your football coach is determined that tomorrow's training will happen.
- even if即使tomorrow明天to rain下雨，we / us我们also也want / will / need要to train训练。 — "Even if it rains tomorrow, we'll still train."
even if即使 A，also也 B = even if A, still B
- even if即使 + possible situation，Subject + also也 + result = even if A happens, B stays the same.
- A is usually hypothetical; also也 is needed in the second clause.
even if即使very很busy忙，he他still也every day每天exercises运动。
Promises and determination
- even if即使everyone大家all / both都to oppose反对，I / me我also也want / will / need要试试。 — "Even if everyone is against it, I'm going to give it a try."
- even if即使you你not不variant of 说说，I / me我also也to know知道。 — "Even if you don't say it, I know."
even if即使you你don't不say说，I我still也know知道。
also也 after the subject
- Put also也 after the subject of the second clause: I / me我also也want / will / need要to go去, not also也I / me我want / will / need要to go去.
- even if即使 pairs with also也, not but但是: even if即使to rain下雨，also也to go去, not even if即使to rain下雨，but但是to go去.
even if即使 versus although虽然 / despite尽管
- although虽然 / despite尽管 state a fact: although虽然to rain下雨(completed / change)了，we / us我们or / still还是to go去(completed / change)了 (it did rain).
- even if即使 states a possibility: even if即使to rain下雨，we / us我们also也to go去 (it might rain).
although虽然it rained下雨了，we我们still还是went去了。
