Scope and prerequisites
IB world religions first assessment 2013; current SL course. Introductory study of five religions: at least two from Hinduism/Buddhism/Sikhism and two from Judaism/Christianity/Islam plus one from either group or Daoism/Jainism/Bahai. In-depth study of two, one from each main group. School records its actual choices.
Mapped preparation outcomes: ib_world_religions_sl.3.1, ib_world_religions_sl.3.2. Read the matching native lesson first. Actual approved choices, evidence and final learner work remain separate.
Source vocabulary
investigation 调查研究; reflexivity 反思性.
Explanation and worked method
Frame a bounded academic question, justify sources and method, and reflect on access or translation limits. Documents or approved voluntary interviews may be suitable; devotional participation is not a requirement of an academic inquiry.

Task: a proposed interview would reveal classmates' religious identity publicly. Redesign the preparation.
Seek school approval, informed consent, privacy and a focused question; consider public documents or anonymized voluntary accounts where appropriate. Do not invent interviews or treat refusal as evidence of belief.
Independent transfer
A key translated word could mean duty or voluntary gift. How should the inquiry respond?
Attempt independently before reading the model.
Checked original model
Record the original wording, translation source and ambiguity, compare reliable contextual interpretation and qualify the claim. Do not choose the convenient meaning without justification. If unresolved, narrow the conclusion and explain what evidence could settle the reading.
These are authored formative expectations, not official IB descriptors. Accept other justified arguments with evidence and material limits.
