Source vocabulary

interpretation 诠释; doctrine 教义.

Explanation and worked method

A source's authority and interpretation depend on tradition, community, genre and context. Connect a textual claim with an account of practice and an academic interpretation while preserving differences.

Original classroom evidence panel for Source status and context

Task: a community leaflet describes an ideal practice; a voluntary participant describes a different everyday experience. Are they necessarily contradictory?

An ideal or prescriptive account can coexist with variation in actual practice. Examine purpose, audience, setting and the participant's scope before deciding. Seek accurate selected-tradition terminology and reliable contextual sources.

Independent transfer

What would support a claim about one local community without generalizing to all adherents?

Attempt independently before reading the model.

Checked original model

Use reliable community-specific records and appropriately approved varied accounts, explaining date, purpose and source status. Limit the conclusion to the relevant practice and setting, distinguish ideal from observed practice and state missing perspectives.

These are authored formative expectations, not official IB descriptors. Accept other justified arguments with evidence and material limits.
