Speaking
Speaking Room
The real three-part interview, under the real clock. You type your answers; three of the four criteria are marked.
Card 8 / 16
Part 1 · Music
Four familiar-topic questions. Answer each one, then add one reason or example — never a single word.
- What kind of music do you listen to?
- When during the day do you usually listen to it?
- Did you learn a musical instrument at school?
- Do you think children should learn an instrument? Why?
Part 2 · The long turn
Describe a meal you will not forget.
You should say:
- where you ate it
- who you were with
- what you ate
- and explain why you remember it
1:00
One minute to prepare with paper and a pencil — the box stays locked, exactly as the examiner keeps the card. Then two minutes, and it does not stop early.
Part 3 · Discussion
Abstract follow-ups on the same theme. Give a view, a reason, an example, then the other side — a one-sentence answer is the standard failure here.
- Why do families in many countries eat together less than they used to?
- Is traditional food disappearing?
- Should schools teach children to cook?
- Do people in your country spend a lot on eating out?
