CAS is part of the Diploma core.
CAS 是文凭课程核心的一部分。
It is not graded, but you must complete it.

For at least eighteen months you take part in experiences in three strands, complete at least one project lasting a month, keep a portfolio of evidence, and have three interviews with your CAS coordinator.

A team runs a monthly repair café.

They expected twenty visitors and six came.

Service is unpaid work with a community that meets a real need, such as a reading scheme.

Service must answer a real need that you have investigated with the community.

Collecting toys without asking is a guess.

Asking older neighbours what they find hard, and then teaching them to use their phones, meets a need they named.

Your portfolio must show each of seven outcomes at least once. Check it as a grid.

The lighting design shows strengths and new skills. The reading scheme shows planning and commitment. The repair café shows working with others and ethics.

Global significance still needs evidence.

The CAS project is collaborative. You work with others, you plan it yourselves, and it lasts at least a month.

The repair café counts twice: it is service, and fixing things is creative.

Your portfolio holds the evidence: plans, photos, records and reflections.

Weak reflections are a diary with no learning, one line of I grew a lot under a photo, or everything written at the end.

Strong ones are written as you go, name the decision, and show what changed.
