The solenoid, one line
- Ampère's law: $\oint B \cdot dl = \mu_{0}I_{enc}$. A rectangular loop cutting $n\ell$ windings gives $B\ell = \mu_{0}n\ell I$ — uniform inside, zero outside an infinite solenoid.

$n = 1000$ turns/m, $I = 2$ A: $B = \mu_{0}nI = 2.51$ mT. A Biot-Savart check would integrate a thousand loops — the symmetry test comes first.

A solenoid with 2000 turns/m at 1 A gives B ≈ —

B = μ0·n·I = 4π×10⁻⁷ × 2000 × 1 = 2.51 mT. Doubling n doubled it, not I — linear in each.
An Amperian loop encloses a 20-turn coil carrying 0.5 A. The enclosed current is —

Ampère counts ampere-TURNS: N·I = 20 × 0.5 = 10 A. The loop shape changes the integral, never the enclosed current.
Charges in orbit
- The Lorentz force $F = qv \times B$ circles a moving charge at radius $r = mv/qB$. An electron at $10^{6}$ m/s in 1 T: $r = 5.7\ \mu$m (2.85 eV, non-relativistic).
- Inductance $L = N\Phi/I$: the solenoid stores $L/\ell = \mu_{0}n^{2}A$ per metre.

Doubling the magnetic field changes the electron orbit radius to —
Độ khó 1/5 · 100 xu + phần thưởng nhỏ khi hoàn thành lần đầu tiên hôm nay
r = mv/qB is inverse in B: doubling B halves r to 2.85 µm.
