in view of鉴于 + situation，decision
- in view of鉴于 = "in view of, given, considering": it states the situation behind a decision.
- It opens the sentence; the second clause states what will be done.

Complete (notice): “In view of the weather, the match is postponed.” ____天气原因，比赛推迟。

鉴于 + basis, then the decision.
Formal and forward-looking
- in view of鉴于 introduces the basis for a decision or measure; it is not for casual causes (use because因为).
- A in view of鉴于 phrase often comes first to state the basis. Its position can vary; check that the main decision remains a complete clause.
Which suits a casual explanation to a friend?

鉴于 (“in view of”) is formal and used in official writing. When explaining something casually to a friend, 因为 is the natural choice.
in view of鉴于 versus due to由于 and because因为
- due to由于 / because因为 explain why something happened: due to由于rain下雨，the match比赛was cancelled取消(completed / change)了.
- in view of鉴于 explains why a decision is being made: in view of鉴于the weather天气，we / us我们decided决定is postponed推迟.
