mesh analysis/meʃ əˈnæləsɪs/Solving a planar circuit by writing Kirchhoff's voltage law around each mesh in terms of mesh currents.
nodal analysis/ˈnəʊdl əˈnæləsɪs/Solving a circuit by writing Kirchhoff's current law at each node in terms of node voltages.
reference node/ˈrefrəns nəʊd/The node chosen as 0 volts, against which every other node voltage is measured.
supernode/ˈsuːpənəʊd/A pair of nodes joined by a voltage source, treated as one wrapped region when writing Kirchhoff current law.
