平时 vs 平常 (usually / ordinary)

Ordinary days, two labels

• Both mean "usually / in normal times" — close synonyms.
• ordinarily平时píng shí = "in normal times / usually" (contrasted with a special occasion).
• ordinary平常píng cháng = "usually"; it can also be an adjective, "ordinary".

ordinarily平时píng shí = in normal times

• ordinarily平时píng shíI / me我wǒ七点qī diǎnto get out of bed起床qǐ chuáng = "I usually get up at seven."

usually平时píng shíI我wǒseven七点qī diǎnget up起床qǐ chuáng。

• ordinarily平时píng shíI / me我wǒ七点qī diǎnto get out of bed起床qǐ chuáng = "I usually get up at seven."

ordinary平常píng cháng = usually / ordinary

• he / him他tāvery很hěnordinary平常píng cháng = "he's quite ordinary." (ordinary平常píng cháng as an adjective)

• very很hěnordinary平常píng cháng(of / 's)的dematter事shì = "an ordinary thing."
