English

Being allowed to join is different from having a place

  • Outcome: use everyday and workplace texts to distinguish entry conditions, available places, confirmation, approval and exceptions. Start with Reading orientation. Mina is old enough for a workshop, but every seat is booked. Her eligibility, meaning she meets the entry conditions, does not create another seat.
  • General Training Reading asks you to find usable information in everyday and workplace texts. Read the condition attached to a benefit before deciding who receives it. A waiting list is patient; it is not a spare room full of chairs.
