Speaking

Speaking Room

The real three-part interview, under the real clock. You type your answers; three of the four criteria are marked.

Card 15 / 16

Part 1 · Languages

Four familiar-topic questions. Answer each one, then add one reason or example — never a single word.

  1. How long have you been learning English?
  2. What part of it do you find hardest?
  3. Would you like to learn another language? Which one?
  4. How do you practise outside your lessons?

Part 2 · The long turn

Describe a place where you like to study or work.

You should say:

  • where it is
  • when you go there
  • what it is like
  • and explain why you work well there

One minute to prepare with paper and a pencil — the box stays locked, exactly as the examiner keeps the card. Then two minutes, and it does not stop early.

Part 3 · Discussion

Abstract follow-ups on the same theme. Give a view, a reason, an example, then the other side — a one-sentence answer is the standard failure here.

  1. Do people work better at home or in an office?
  2. How important is the design of a workplace?
  3. Will most people work from home in the future?
  4. Do long working hours make people more productive?
