Speaking
Speaking Room
The real three-part interview, under the real clock. You type your answers; three of the four criteria are marked.
Card 11 / 16
Part 1 · Shopping
Four familiar-topic questions. Answer each one, then add one reason or example — never a single word.
- Do you enjoy shopping?
- Do you buy more online or in shops? Why?
- What was the last thing you bought for yourself?
- Are shops in your area busier than they used to be?
Part 2 · The long turn
Describe a quiet place you like to go.
You should say:
- where it is
- how often you go there
- what you do there
- and explain why it is important to you
1:00
One minute to prepare with paper and a pencil — the box stays locked, exactly as the examiner keeps the card. Then two minutes, and it does not stop early.
Part 3 · Discussion
Abstract follow-ups on the same theme. Give a view, a reason, an example, then the other side — a one-sentence answer is the standard failure here.
- Is it harder to find quiet places than it used to be?
- Does noise affect how well people work?
- Should cities have more parks?
- Do people need time alone?
