Vocabulaire
English Sens
static balanceBalance in which the centre of mass lies on the rotation axis, so there is no net rotating force.
dynamic balanceBalance in which both the net rotating force and the net rotating couple are zero.
two planesThe two correction planes in which masses are added to balance a rotor dynamically.
reciprocating massThe mass that moves back and forth in a straight line, such as a piston and part of its connecting rod.
primary forceThe unbalanced inertia force of a reciprocating engine at crank frequency.
secondary forceThe unbalanced inertia force of a reciprocating engine at twice crank frequency, caused by the connecting rod's angle.
