特长 means a skill or area someone is especially good at. 特点 is a characteristic and need not be a strength. 长 is cháng here, not zhǎng as in 长大.
她的特长是弹钢琴。
tā de tè cháng shì tán gāng qín。

长辈 · zhǎngbèi
elder; an older relative or member of a senior generation
长辈 is zhǎngbèi, with third-tone 长, referring to elders or people of a senior family generation. Compare cháng in 长度 (length).
过年时,我们去看望家里的长辈。
