- Your goal: Write a clear request in an appropriate register.
- Before you start, recall information questions and requests. Choose wording for the audience, relationship and purpose; a question about a deadline does not establish that deadline as confirmed.

- A message to a friend and a request to an organisation can express the same need with different register. Clarity and appropriateness matter more than ornate vocabulary.
- Excuse me, may I ask...?请问 requests information; trouble, polite request here麻烦you (polite)您…… politely asks for help. State the action and time clearly so politeness does not hide the request.
Work through a decision: A friend might receive tomorrow明天to remember记得band带form表格 — remember to bring the form tomorrow. An organiser might receive hello (polite)您好，Excuse me, may I ask...?请问to need需要band带which ones?哪些(raw) material材料 — hello, which materials do I need to bring? The first is a reminder; the second requests information. Adjusting register should preserve the real purpose rather than merely replace words with longer ones.
Compare a plausible mistake: trouble, polite request here麻烦you (polite)您to issue发给I / me我application form申请表 asks the recipient to send a form; I / me我already已经to receive收到application form申请表 reports that it has arrived. Courteous wording does not make a requested action completed. Nor does a formal greeting make an unclear request actionable: specify what you need and any relevant time.
A formal-sounding sentence is not automatically clearer or more correct. Do not claim a deadline is confirmed when you have only asked about it.
